A Great Read with an all too familiar flavour of my own personal experiences dealing professionally and personally with all shades of the Narcissist Sub Group.

The covert ones I have found the most insidious, play the long game and honestly the only way to deal with them as you rightly said 'trust your intuition' and then get as afar away from them as possible!

The intuition part has a lot of truth to it. We tend to ignore it because we convince ourselves that it may be just our own filters processing things wrong. That intuition cannot be verified without confronting them (we would be gaslight of course). That it is unscientific and we are rational enlightened, sophisticated beings to base decisions on 'intuitions'.

But intuitions is said to be the ability to acquire knowledge without recourse to conscious reasoning. The word is derived from the Latin verb intueri translated as "consider" or from the late middle English word intuit, "to contemplate".

I personally would have avoided certain bad experiences if I just trusted my gut feeling aka intuition.
