A pleasure to read about the other side of the pond.

In the UK we have free (Excellent) healthcare and social care which punches above most other Euro countries.

I liked the point about billionaires essentially using 'rent seeking behaviour' and other tools to protect their interests. The use of social media and other platforms to sell the belief that anyone can become like them is straight out Edward Bernays book 'Propaganda' (1928).

I just wrote a piece on the prioritisation of space tourism and exploration by these guys, rather than helping solve problems we face now- ecologically, economically and so on. I mean hearing Jeff Bezos Laugh does not engender confidence in his protected values vs economic gain (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awLAVz_VQ5I)
