Hi Janice,

Ahhh the serpent baby!!!

The symbolism is from the Mithraic religion which is supposed to have flourished in this series as the dominant one compared to our 'Reality' where it died out due to popularity of Christianity. (See: Mithraism - Mythology and theology | Britannica).

In the religion’s mythology, The Sun God (SOL) orders Mithras to Kill a bull. This portrayal has a serpent sucking the sacrificed bull- which was portrayed in this series.

At the end of season two, Marcus is crucified upside down to the tree of knowledge and is seen at the end floating upside down in mid-air, dripping blood to the ground. The imagery is very Christ-like in nature (Like the Crucifixion of Saint Peter). Also, his resurrection may indicate new belief systems being introduced in season three.

The Wheel of Time- I binged that once I learnt that it was awesome! And it did not disappoint. I can't wait for season two!

Any other recommendations would be very welcome.

With regards to Netflix- they seem dedicated to getting the Remembrance of Earths Past Trilogy out. They have a good team working on it: Netflix to make Chinese sci-fi 'The Three-Body Problem' into TV series - CGTN

Chat Soon,

Avi
