Hi Marine,

It is positive to see that people are striving for goals with high protected values associated with them.

I agree 100% the urge to help people is a basic motivation. It is encoded in our DNA/Psyche/Blood. I personally achieved point 1 where I became financially independent and retired early.

Having done the travel and other bits it was driven by Point 3.

My Mum a legend of a lady and a brilliant Doctor developed Parkinsons Disease a few years ago. It is progressing slowly, managed with medication, but progressing, nonetheless.

With all the love, guidance and protection she has shown me, I could not let her deteriorate and pass away just to get promoted, buy a flashier ca and buy needless things.

So, I quit my profession and now take care of her. We talk, watch movies and documentaries, take her out for fresh air and show she is loved by the whole family.

She is my new purpose in life, as is my father, who being ten times the man I am, quietly appreciates the help and support with the shared carers load.

Ok too much sharing (wipes tear). A great article- connected with me emotionally and mentally.

Thank You,

Avi
